Yellow Flower
Thought I'd join you all. I've been up and down on the weight marry-go-round. My lowest weight was 118, highest 270. Current 254. I am almost 10 weeks into weight watchers and have lost 16.8 lbs. For now my biggest goal is my 10% loss or 27 lbs.

I'd love to hear about hints/tips, foods, etc that you have found successful.

 My biggest problem is getting off my ass. I know what can happen if I exercise, its just that I feel silly doing it. I lost 50 lbs after I moved out and went to college (and about 30 more over the past 7 yrs), and have been slowly been gaining it back now that I've moved back to my dad's house. I know one of my triggers is stress, and when I stress and get depressed, I eat whatever I can put my hands on and am lazy.

I'm back up to 230 as of this morning.

I dug out an old Richard Simmons Dance Your Pants Off tape of my moms. It busted my ass this afternoon. I also have my AbLounge, but I haven't really put it to use since I bought it. I love walking, but living where I do its a bit difficult unless I want to get in the car and drive 20 minutes to a park.

I'm not so much as looking to get to a desired weight as I am looking towards wearing clothes comfortably and a reasonable size. I'm back into a 20 right now and I'd like to be a 14, maybe a 12. 

I just want to be comfortable in my own skin, eh?

I don't normally post stuff about my weight/weight loss progress in my own LJ-- usually leave that for the sparkily and the sim stuff but this will be a good way to keep track of things. I decided to shed my fat suit back in May of this year. I was inspired by Joey's weight loss on Dancing With The Stars and decided that if he won, I would indeed start my own weight loss regimen. He didn't win---though at the same time he did. Despite the fact that he didn't win, I decided to go ahead and lose weight anyways. I started at 360 and today's weigh in is 310.  I cut way down on all the foods I was splurging on, started buying water like crazy, and just have been monitoring what I eat. I'm not on any diet plan---been there-- done that-- have the stretch marks to prove it.

I planned to walk today but just wasnt in the mood. Off tomorrow and will make up for it. During the month of September I walked about 15 days, which is more than Ive ever done in years...decades...

My short term goal is to break 300 by the end of the year. Another one is to be 100 lbs down by May of 2008. Long term.... maybe be half my size and keep it off for good. Though I'm not pushing myself and not stressing. This weight didnt get put on overnight and it's not going to disappear like that so yes......

I dont have a before pic--only recent pics from last month in Boston with some hot guys LOL. I'm hoping by the time these hot guys tour--that I'll have done some more improvement :)

Okay, I swore I'd do this, and you know what? Just knowing that I had made this commitment to myself made a difference. I didn't want to get up and work out, but I did. Because otherwise I knew I had to come here and admit that I hadn't.  Believe it or not, it made a difference. For how long, who knows? LOL! I do know myself, and I am so the queen of procrastination. 
My goal is to do something every day. I know it's going to be hard on the days that I work, but if I make myself stay up when I get up, it's doable. 
So - first day. 
Wieght: 207 (gulp) That's not the heaviest I've been, but it's still hard as hell to put down. 
I guess I may as well do measurements? 
Lol - I'm so good at this. 
Bust: 45.5
Waist: 42
Hips: 47
Thighs: 26

Dude. My daughter's waist is 26 "!!!!

Okay. That was hard, but yes. I did it. 

I don't have a picture, but I know one was taken at  a party on Saturday, so I'll just glom that. 

Worked out today to Tony Little's Total Body Weight Loss. I know some people think he's odd, and hell yes, he is, but for some reason, I've always enjoyed his workout style. I lost 35 pounds about 6 years ago with him, and so thought I'd try it again. I splurged for the DVD's - since my tapes have gone missing.  Along  with that, I'm going to walk - a lot. Our neighborhood is good, lots of hills and dips, which is a better work out. 
I want to hear how YOU did!!!!

Come on - I know there's only like 4 of us so far, but even if you just want to bitch, come here!! I want us to all try so that if we all make Vegas in June - we'll be so sexy they'll stop to stare. ;o)

I started this just so that I would have a place to go to MAKE myself post at least once a week about my successes, failures, whatever. Just in the hopes that it'll make me feel accountable to someone. 
You're welcome to join, as long as you stick to the main rule - be positive to your fellow members.
We all know this is a long a difficult journey - let's share the things we've learned that help, and celebrate our victories, no matter how small.  Even if we slide a little - and dude, I know I will! - let's help pick each other up and carry on. 
Monday morning is my first weigh in and the start of my new life. I hope. LOL. 
I'm so positive.
